About
Sandy Middleton will demonstrate and guide you through tips & tricks for successful encaustic exploration. Using hot wax medium participants will learn to layer, fuse, collage and transfer images into a unique piece of art, yours to keep!
Spend 1 hour learning & creating (stay for the duration)
Participants MUST be ages 15+ due to safety concerns.
All participants must sign waiver available at venue (under 18 must have parent signature).

Sandy Middleton Photography
Sandy Middleton has worked as both an artist and photographer for over 25 years, having graduated from Ryerson University with a BAA in still photography. She was nominated for a 2016 St. Catharines Arts Award in the category of Established Artist and has received several arts grants from the Ontario Arts Council. Currently her practice has been focused on images that deal with identity, memory and found and natural materials. She works in analogue and digital photography as well as encaustic medium and wood transfer prints. Sandy had been using encaustic medium within her work over the past 10 years and teaches classes in her studio upon request.
