About
Learn about the art of Japanese printmaking from a fan of woodblock printing. Adrian will share some of his favourite prints and some history during a 30-minute art talk. Mainly focusing on works from Japan, he will touch on the well-known Ukiyo (which includes Hokusai and Hiroshige), but dive deeper into the 20th century Shin Hanga, Sosaku Hanga, & Meiji eras. Adrian will close the talk with a view of some of the woodblock prints from Vienna of the same time. What he lacks in academic art knowledge is made up in enthusiasm. A fun and fact filled evening, come on down!
Art talk will be held at the Vernon Community Arts Centre on Wednesday, September 27th between 7:30-8:00pm, with time for questions afterwards.
Event is FREE.
