Artist Bio
Beth started basket weaving with reed in 1991 at Crete, Nebraska, and learned willow weaving in Saskatchewan. She is largely self-taught and enjoys creating her own designs. Her work in watercolour and clay influences the development of her unique weavings. As well, she enjoys creating abstract wallweavings in a variety of styles and colours, often incorporating found wood, shells, and yarn for textural interest. Beth has been teaching basketry since 2000. Her baskets have been exhibited in Moose Jaw at Yvette Moore’s Gallery, Creative Photographics, the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery, Moose Jaw Cultural Centre, Lumsden’s Letterbox Gallery, and at Organically Connected. In 2007 she was selected as one of three artists to represent Moose Jaw in Ottawa on July 1, to celebrate Moose Jaw as one of the Cultural Capitals of Canada. In 2011, Beth was juried into the Saskatchewan Craft Council. Her weavings are in collections across Canada, and currently sold at Traditions Gallery in Regina.

Organizer
Gravelbourg Artisan Co-operative
We are a non-profit producer co-op based out of the historic town of Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. The GAC formed in 2018, after local artisans met to discuss how they could help each other grow their businesses, especially those who did not have the ability or finances to have their own storefronts or webpages.
Our vision is to build a community of local artists, makers and bakers who support, encourage, educate and inspire each other as they develop their skills and grow their own businesses.
We host two annual markets, as well as member showcase events to show off our talented producing members. We are passionate about bringing art to the community and also offer various workshops, monthly Meet Up, Make Art workshops, an annual community art project and have partnered with many local groups and businesses to hold art-related events.
