About

Join us at Blenz Coffee in Sullivan Heights with the Amanda Cabralda Quartet!

Amanda Cabralda is a young jazz vocalist from the Metro Vancouver area. With deep roots in the jazz tradition, she seeks to honour greats like Sarah Vaughan, Betty Carter, and Lorez Alexandria. Along with a piano trio, she will be presenting a selection of standards as well as jazz interpretations of lesser-known songs from the same era.

Joining her for this performance are Marta Kalmar on piano, Nathan Lintott on bass, and David Caballero on drums.

Organizer

Surrey Jazz Nights

Surrey Jazz Nights is a grassroots initiative that focuses on creating performance and mentorship opportunities for young and emerging artists in Surrey and the lower mainland. Their mission is to "build community through the celebration of artists in Surrey." They host a monthly performance series on the third Wednesday of the month at Blenz Coffee in Sullivan Heights, and bi-weekly shows at Finest Cup Coffee in Fleetwood. These series aim to provide a platform for young musicians to share their art in an accessible way to the community.

All shows are free and anyone is welcome to attend.
