About
Join the Manitoba Craft Council and the C2 Centre for Craft for Nuit Blanche.
Natural Dye Maker Table: Experiment with bundle dyeing using whole plants at the C2 Centre for Craft. Participants will create a design with whole plants, leaves, and flowers on cotton at our Maker Table, then can simmer their dye bundle at home to reveal the colours inside the plants. This environmentally friendly all-ages craft will be free to visitors while supplies last.
Eco-Craft: Eco-Craft is a creative, cross-disciplinary collaboration addressing what is arguably the biggest challenge facing our generation: climate change. Eco-Craft features craft artists paired with scientists working in environment-related research to create work that addresses environmental crisis from a variety of angles.
Please note: The C2 Centre for Craft requires masks for visitors

Manitoba Craft Council
The Manitoba Craft Council is for people who love contemporary craft: professional artists and artisans, collectors and connoisseurs, DIYers and armchair enthusiasts. It’s for people who value the originality and quality of the handmade, who find meaning in making. It’s for the dreamers and schemers who seek to reinterpret the material and cultural traditions of the past through a contemporary lens. It’s for people who have to forge, carve, weave, fold, sculpt, knit. And for their friends and supporters. It’s for you. See, smell, touch, explore the myriad expressions of contemporary craft in Manitoba and be part of a community that is shaped, motivated, and defined by its love of craft.
