Join the Bronte Historical Society in commemorating the 220th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar. Visit us at The Crossing to explore the legacy of Admiral Horatio Nelson and discover the history of Sovereign House—an Oakville landmark built two centuries ago in 1825.

For more than 30 years, the Bronte Historical Society has managed Sovereign House as a display centre on behalf of the Town of Oakville. During the summer months, volunteers welcome visitors to the historic Sovereign House. Visitors enjoy a self-guided tour of the restored rooms filled with artifacts, photographs, archival documents, and memorabilia.
