There has been a shift in media coverage of sexual violence, reflective of significant changes in public discourse about sexual harm. This talk will discuss how these changes have helped to hold some perpetrators accountable for their behaviour and paved the path for #MeToo. Join Dr. Stacey Hannem, Department of Criminology at Wilfrid Laurier University, and Dr. Christopher Schneider, Department of Sociology at Brandon University for a discussion of their book Defining Sexual Misconduct: Power, Media, and #MeToo.
