About
We're inviting you behind the scenes! Experience the Kay Meek Arts Centre as you've never seen it before, as we open up our backstage areas for you to explore and give you the opportunity to take to the stage.
A day out for all ages in celebration of BC Culture Days, this is your chance to get to know West Vancouver's beloved performing arts venue ahead of the start of our 2025/26 Season.
Take a look around our two theatres and behind-the-scenes areas, step into the spotlight and sing your favourite karaoke songs on stage, enter our Ticket Giveaway, and find out more about the story of the Kay Meek and how the magic happens when you meet our team members.
Once you’ve taken a tour around the Kay Meek, enjoy refreshments from the licensed concession in our sunny atrium with accompanying live music from the Pressley Murillo Trio.
Fresh from performing at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival earlier this summer and a graduate of Capilano University’s Jazz Studies program, Pressley Murillo is a Vancouver-based Mexican-American vocalist. Playing songs from the Great American Songbook and Latinx songs from Murillo’s childhood, the trio is completed by Joel Falkner (guitar) and Emilio Suarez (cello).
Whether this is a first time visit, or a bonus opportunity to spend time in your favourite theatre space, join us for a lively afternoon of music, conversation, and family-friendly activities in your local community.
