About

Discover and celebrate what rivers give us, how we are connected to them, and why they need our help. Salmon are a major part of our culture on Vancouver Island and begin their lives in rivers. People are drawn to rivers for many reasons which are an important part of our lives.

Interactive displays by environmental stewardship groups, Vancouver Island University, City of Parksville, Regional District of Nanaimo, and Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Regional Research Institute will be on hand. Drawing, colouring and games for kid that allow them to express why rivers are important to them and how they connect.
