About

The Northern Ontario Book Fair is an annual event where traditionally and self-published authors throughout Northern Ontario come together to sell their books. The event is organized by the Silverleaf Writers Guild.

The trade show with featured authors and consignment table will be open to the public during the following hours:

Saturday, September 28th - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 29th - 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Special events will take place over the course of the two-day event in a side room off the main trade show chamber. The schedule is as follows:

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th:

10:30 a.m. - Story time for kids

11:00 a.m. - Character Development Workshop with Veronique Ginglo-Robert

1:00 p.m. - Poetry presentation with Ann Margetsen, Cobalt's poet laureate

2:30 p.m. - Story time for kids

3:00 p.m. - Open mic readings

4:00 p.m. - Preparing to Write Workshop with Jessica Trudel

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th:

10:00 a.m. - Creative writing challenge

10:30 a.m. - Open mic reading

11:00 a.m. - Book themed craft time

1:00 p.m. - Editing Workshop with Jessica Trudel

2:30 p.m. - Storytime for kids

3:00 p.m. - Door prizes
