Directions: We are located in Sault Ste Marie (Ontario,) near the downtown core, behind the BushPlane Museum, kitty corner with the Old Warehouse Market, the Vintage Coop (69 Church), at the corner of Queen Street East and Church street. There is free parking in the back of our building. The event will be outside in the courtyard.

About
As part of our event called l'Échange Créatif, the public will be invited to contribute to the large 26 ft by 6 ft Art Quilt created by Isa Michaud. This quilt will be placed on the ground of the courtyard behind 875 Queen Street E. The Quilt displays four large paintings made with plant-based material (charcoal, wildrose pink "Beam" printing ink, turmeric and xantham, Golden rod, and liquitex ink on cotton canvas)and is assembled with upcycled bed sheets. Participants to the Artist Trading Card festival will be invited to fill the message "Art is a thrill, not a frill" with glued fabric or markers. When completed, the quilt will be held by all participants present and a collective photo will be taken as a support to the arts.
Dans le cadre de notre événement l'Échange Créatif, le public sera invité à contribuer à la grande courtepointe de 26 pieds sur 6 pieds créée par Isa Michaud. Cette courtepointe sera placée au sol de la cour derrière le 875 Queen Street E. La courtepointe présente quatre grandes peintures réalisées avec des matériaux à base de plantes (charbon de bois, encre d'impression rose sauvage "Beam", curcuma et xantham, verge d'or et encre liquitex sur toile de coton) et est assemblée avec des draps recyclés. Les participants au festival Artist Trading Card seront invités à remplir le message "Art is a thrill, not a frill" avec du tissu collé, des marqueurs, et de la peinture faite à base de plantes. Une fois terminée, la courtepointe sera tenue par tous les participants présents et une photo collective sera prise pour montrer notre soutien à l'art!

Isa Michaud is a multidisciplinary artist working and creating in Baawaating-Sault-Sainte-Marie. Isabelle opened "La galerie Sans Clous" in 2021 to promote contemporary professional visual artists in the region and present exhibitions in both English and French. Isabelle teaches, mentors, guides and supports artists and artmaking in various ways, through grantwriting mentorship, workshops, advising at Algoma University's Visual Arts program, by sitting in adjudicating committees at the OAC and municipally as well, by keeping touch with artists on Instagram and in the community.
Isa Michaud est une artiste multidisciplinaire travaillant et créant à Baawaating-Sault-Sainte-Marie. Isabelle a ouvert « La galerie Sans Clous » en 2021 pour promouvoir les artistes visuel.les professionnel.les contemporain.es de la région et présenter des expositions en anglais et en français. Isabelle enseigne, encadre, guide et soutient les artistes et la création artistique de diverses manières, par le biais de mentorat en matière de rédaction de subventions, d'ateliers, de conseils au programme d'arts visuels de l'Université Algoma, en siégeant aux comités de sélection du CAO et de la municipalité ainsi qu'en restant en contact avec les artistes sur Instagram et dans la communauté.
