About
Beginners Dance Drop-In--Modern/Hip Hop Mix will provide an opportunity for attendees of any age to explore dance and movement focusing on both modern and hip hop dance moves. Besides learning some beginning moves, attendees will also learn a bit about choreography and be able to demonstrate what the learned by dancing (if they want) during a short performance by other students. The public will also be able to encounter dance by watching the short performance at the end of the class time. This performance will include a demonstration from the drop-in attendees as well as student groups from the dance school. This way more people will get to partake of dance whether they want to participate or watch.

I'm passionate about dance and have danced since I was quite young. I created Set Apart Dance as a non-profit school to share my passion with others. Though small I've already taught for three years focusing on children but also doing workshops for adults and hope to start an adult class this fall.
I believe that music and movement is innate to our being. By creating this BC Culture Days Event I am hoping to provide an opportunity for others to explore dance as a form of expression without the usual barriers of time commitment or cost.
