About Music Matters: Founded in 2005 by Kathryn Waugh, Music Matters has provided music research and clearance services to a wide variety of clients and productions. With over 20 years of music industry experience Kathryn has a proven history of providing clients licensing and clearance services in a timely and cost-effective manner. Kathryn’s broad network of contacts enables her to secure licenses for clients with differing and complex needs.
In her work as a Music Publisher, Kathryn has worked with a wide variety of artists and clients including Tom Waits, David Foster, Aerosmith, The Tragically Hip and Sesame Street. Kathryn understands how to build a successful catalogue while holding the artist’s vision.
