Learn more about the work of Aman Aheer in part five of our nine-part video series featuring the artists in our current exhibition ‘Moving Throughlines’. Aman Aheer’s current practice explores hidden violence and the experience of death and dying amidst the mundane and the everyday. Aheer is a painter of Indian heritage, born and currently living on the unceded territories of thescə̓ waθenaɁɬ təməxw (Tsawassen), Kwantlen, Stó:lō, xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqeuam), and Stz’uminus peoples. He obtained his BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2018 and has exhibited in Vancouver and London.
