About

Have you ever tried making art by removing lines rather than adding them? That’s how handmade relief prints are created. Linocut and relief printmaking isn’t a new way of making art. It’s been around for hundreds of years! Come try it out for yourself. My name is Brendan Lancaster, an emerging printmaker and award-winning artist from Guelph Ontario. Come join me while I show you how to think like a printmaker, just like the famous artists of the renaissance, by drawing with white lines on black backgrounds. Watch me hand-carve a real linocut print right before your eyes and try the printing process for yourself. You’ll be able to take home your very own hand made relief print printed by you!
