Have your say in this unique multi-topic discussion covering the trends and challenges faced by writers, educators, librarians and parents. Small groups will interact with industry facilitators to look deeper into topics surrounding representation and underrepresentation in Canada’s kid lit industry. The FOLD Foundation
The FOLD Foundation launched the Festival of Literary Diversity (FOLD) in May 2016 as Canada's first festival for diverse authors and storytellers. The first three festivals included events for adults and children. But in 2019, the May festival focused entirely on young adult and adult programming, launching its first FOLD Kids Bookfest held on Culture Days weekend. The Kids Bookfest celebrates amazing Kid Lit authors and features incredible stories and storytellers. Audiences can expect incredible speakers and dynamic performances -- and of course, LOT OF BOOKS. All FOLD events include an on-site bookseller, where you can explore amazing stories and have your books signed by all of our performers.
