The Blacksmith and Carriage Shop, owned and operated by the Cannington & Area Historical Society, preserves an important link to one of the earliest and most vital businesses in history. It is one of the oldest blacksmith shops in Ontario located in its original urban location.
Open House is local historians guiding you on a tour of blacksmith tools, modes of transportation and the importance of its role in the community.

The Cannington & Area Historical Society is a not-for-profit charitable organization established in 1976.
This group of determined and dedicated volunteers rescue and restore local historical treasures, turning them into educational experiences at the Cannington Historical Museum setting located in MacLeod Park and at the Blacksmith and Carriage Shop which is also a living history museum, and home to the Society and its archives.
