I AM...

Write a poem about you. One’s culture and ethnicity makes up an important part of who you are. Unfortunately, individuals often overlook how their culture makes them unique and special.

In this activity, children will complete an I AM poem which will focus on highlighting aspects of one’s cultural identity. A template of the poem will be provided and participants will personalize their poem by filling in their culture’s characteristics.

The goal of this activity is to explore and celebrate your uniqueness, and embrace your cultural heritage.
