About
The Exchange is opening 3 Gallery shows!
The Mini-Gallery hosts Sarah Carter's installation, "Fantasy Island".
The Exchange Gallery will be opening the works of Aidan Frenette "Something Worth Remembering".
The Atrium Gallery is hosting the Exchange Gallery Project: Artist Jill Sapiente from the John Mann Gallery's "Elements of Niagara".
Sarah Carter's "Fantasy Island" is a ride on the escapism train to an alternate reality. A place
where you can live among the rainbows and unicorns in a driftwood cabin by the sea.
Aiden Frenette's "Something Worth Remembering" is a collection of lumen prints created by combining organic materials and processed foodstuffs on light sensitive substrate. Subjects such as wet bread, macerated fruit, and crushed crackers are captured in their consumption. The resulting images mirror internal human processes that, in spite of their fundamental importance to our survival, are taken for granted. In reframing the profoundly common within a reverential context, these images encourage the viewer to turn gratefully inward, and consider the unremarkable as “something worth remembering.”
Jill Sapiente's "Elements of Niagara" is a collection of pieces that explore the vast terrain and terroir that makes up the big puzzle. The Bruce Trail, the bodies of water that surround this peninsula, the trees and the flora. The many hidden waterfalls that flow through the region. These are the ‘Elements of Niagara’.
