About

On Thursday, October 22, the Collingwood Public Library will be hosting Luba Lesychyn, author of Theft By Chocolate and Theft Between the Rains - Museums' Secret Spaces. Luba will be reading from both of her books, followed by a question and answer period.

Certain functions are consistent in all museums, like research, collecting, preserving, and displaying. But in Luba Lesychyn's two humourous art theft thrillers, she draws on her more than 20 years at Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum to take readers to some uniquely fascinating areas off limits to the public. She will read some of her favourite scenes that take place in museum spaces you might never have imagined existed. And despite the two-part series being a long love letter to the ROM, Luba will share how the inspirations, writing processes, and publishing experiences with each book could not have been more different.
