The Carmichael-Stewart House Museum is in the historic home of James Matheson Carmichael, a prominent New Glasgow shipbuilder. Built in 1880, the home is filled with exquisite Victorian architecture from stained glass windows to a grand staircase. Trenton glassware, a Penny Farthing, Scottish regalia, and historical photographs are but a few of the many items on display. Located in the downtown core, you’ll find this charming museum at 86 Temperance Street.
