About

Calling all kids! Are you ready to flex those creative muscles with art lessons you can do at home - and with materials you already have? Our 'Create to Learn' curriculum-based lessons use examples from The Collector’s Eye, an exhibition from the collection of local Halton Hills resident Bruce Andrews, which was on display at Halton Hills’ Helson Gallery this summer.

With each art lesson you will learn a new artistic element, all while having fun creating your own one of a kind masterpiece! A new set of lessons will be rolled out each Tuesday throughout Culture Days. Each lesson set features a separate activity for different age groups: grades 1-4 and 5-8.

September 29 - Still Life

October 6 - Cityscape Reflections

October 13 - Flower Compositions

October 20 - Portraits

Once available, the lessons will remain accessible for the remainder of Culture Days.

All lessons are available in English and French.

We invite you to share photos of your artwork on social media using the hashtags #hhIsCulture and #hhCultureDays
