About

Proud Gunditjmara Keerray Woorroong artist and current Blue Cabin resident Tarryn Love invites us for a yarn about her creative and cultural practice on Sunday, October 1. “Yarning” is storytelling and knowledge sharing; to join Tarryn for a yarn is to be welcomed into her space to listen, converse, and to share experiences and form connections.

The conversation will highlight the importance of intergenerational knowledge sharing, language revitalisation, and cultural expression in the here and now. Participants will also hear about Tarryn’s current works in progress and her research methodologies rooted in Gunditjmara ways of Knowing, Being and Doing.

The Blue Cabin Floating Artist Residency

The Blue Cabin Floating Residency is a mobile artist residency that inspires curiosity, engagement and exchange by providing artists with the time, space and support to reflect, research and make work in dialogue with the Blue Cabin’s history and the natural setting of the Lower Mainland waterways, while providing the public with a distinct and diverse perspective of our heritage.
