About

This year for Culture Days the Prince Albert Historical Society will be leading riverbank walking tours along the Rotary Trail. These tours will look at the Prince Albert areas history through the perspective of First Nations and Métis peoples. Join for both an enriching history lesson and to see the natural beauty of the North Saskatchewan River.

Tours will leave from the Historical Museum and walk east to 3rd Ave E and back.

11am and 12pm tours will be led by Dakota Knowledge Keeper Leo Omani; 1pm and 2pm tours will be led by Métis Knowledge Keepers Leah Dorion and Curtis Breton. Please phone 306-764-2992 or email [email protected] to reserve your spot prior September 25th. Admission is limited to 15 individuals for each tour.

We will comply with COVID-19 safety regulations by ensuring social distancing, masks are encouraged but not required. FREE. This program is free, with funding support from SaskCulture and Saskatchewan Lotteries

The Culture Days events and are following all provincial guidelines set out by the Government of Saskatchewan in the Reopen Saskatchewan plan.

While partaking in Culture Days Events, please adhere to the following:

• Stay home if you are sick or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19

• Use hand sanitizer upon arrival to the event/facility

• Wash hands often and for at least 20 seconds

• Avoid touching your face

• Avoid touching shared/communal surfaces

• Maintain a 2m distance from others (except those in your household). Follow all social distancing stickers and signage.

• Use a tissue or your elbow when coughing or sneezing.

• Wearing a mask is optional, if you choose to wear one, please bring your own.

Please ensure you have read and understand the Covid-19 guidelines and will follow them to the best of your ability. The Culture Days event organizers have the right to ask patrons not in compliance with the guidelines to leave. Please acknowledge that there is a risk of exposure to Covid-19 any public place where people are present.

The Society operates four museums within the City of Prince Albert- the Historical Museum, Rotary Museum of Police and Corrections, Evolution of Education and the John and Olive Diefenbaker Museum.
