About

Join the Alberta Craft Council on a behind-the-scenes tour of three of Calgary's unique textile treasures!

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Culture Days, we've put together a unique tour that highlights and celebrates the city's rich fine craft community and treasures! The group will meet at the Alberta Craft Gallery in cSPACE King Edward and head to the Nickle Galleries at the University of Calgary for a behind-the-scenes tour of their textile collection from West and Central Asia—a rare opportunity to view and (gently!) handle collection highlights. We'll then head back to cSPACE for a studio tour of award-winning artist, Natalie Gerber and lunch. We'll finish the day with a close look at the 40-Mile Coat project, created by the Heritage Weavers and Spinners Guild of Calgary. Transportation and a light lunch will be provided to tour participants.

RSVP Required - Limited spots
