About

CANAVUA Culture & Food Festival is a two-day celebration of the diverse culinary traditions and music of the many cultures comprising Alberta's Francophone community. Held in Edmonton's French Quarter, visitors can sample delicious dishes from French-speaking countries around the world, all of which are prepared in CANAVUA's community food truck. Family films will also be shown in an outdoor drive-in (or walk-in) theatre during the evenings.

Organizer

CANAVUA

CANAVUA was created on September 17, 2009 and was incorporated on April 24, 2010. Our mandate is to promote volunteerism in Alberta, primarily within the Francophone community. To do this, we recruit, train and deploy volunteers to serve in our various projects.

Since its founding in September 2009, CANAVUA has created a series of concrete programs and services, which we call “Crews,” in order to fulfill our objectives. Because of our diverse programming, we have become the privileged representatives of the Francophone community to all levels of government within the context of volunteer action.
