About
This writers' workshop is open to all. Sharon J. Hamilton has taught English from elementary school through to doctoral level during her forty-year career. She has a PhD in language and literacy from the University of London (UK) and has participated in writing seminars at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, and the Faber Academy, London. Additionally, she’s owned, trained, and shown shelties, and was a member of the Winnipeg Area Shetland Sheepdog Association. Hamilton lives in Winnipeg with her partner and two shelties. She has a son, an actor and playwright, who lives in Toronto.
The Artists in Residence Program invites artists, authors, and creatives to escape their busy lives and create within the inspiring landscape of Riding Mountain National Park — sharing their work with the public through talks, readings, demonstrations, and workshops. Proudly supported by Parks Canada, the Manitoba Arts Council, and Wasagaming Community Arts.
Organizer
Dauphin Culture Days Committee
Dauphin Culture Days is put on each year by the creative folks at the Watson Art Centre, the Dauphin Public Library, the Dauphin Art Group, Countryfest Community Cinema, and just about any other creative person or group we can cajole into playing along with us. We know that creativity is at the heart of humans of all ages and our goal is to get our town to create, participate, and share.
