About
The public is cordially invited to UNDAS - a celebration of grief through the lens of the Filipina/o/x diaspora.
This exhibition consists of work from local Filipina/o/x artists ranging from installation, film, music and print art.
Existing and new works are presented by Charina Duenas, Charles Romero Venzon, Karen Remoto Maribeth Tabanera / Kilusan, MC de Natividad and Nathan Flores.
The event is named after the Philippine tradition of "UNDAS", a combination of "All Souls' Day" and "All Saints' Day", where the community gathers to celebrate the lives of saints and departed loved ones. de Natividad, the exhibition's producer, also felt like the event could highlight works by Filipina/o/x artists.
This showcase is a great opportunity to expose the public to aspects of the Filipina/o/x community, including some cultural practices that may not be well-known.
The event is pay-what-you-may, and all proceeds will go towards the artists and the exhibition’s costs.
