About
Celebrate the European Day of Languages with us!
Throughout Europe, 800 million Europeans are represented in the Council of Europe's 47 member states and all are encouraged to discover more languages at any age, as part of or alongside their studies. At the Council of Europe’s initiative, the European Day of Languages has been celebrated every year since 2001.
In 2020 in Toronto, we are celebrating the 11th edition of this celebration.
The main objectives of European Language Day (EDL) are to promote language learning and to emphasize the importance of intercultural understanding. Free language-related activities will be offered to the public on an online format: courses in several languages — Finnish, Swedish, Estonian, Portuguese, Romanian, French, German, Greek, Italian, Lithuanian, Spanish.
Partners: EUNIC, Instituto Camões Toronto, Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Spanish Centre, Goethe Institut Toronto, Alliance Française Toronto
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE ? EVERYONE but please note that online courses are for adults.
For this event, we will use the Zoom platform.
