Get crafty this Fusion Festival! The Downtown Surrey BIA has put together kids craft kits to make for Virtual Surrey Fusion Festival. 

+PAPER LANTERN+

+SUPPLIES+

-felt pens or pencil crayons

-tape or glue

+INSTRUCTIONS+

Step 1-

Colour the pattern on your paper.

Step 2-

Attach the shorter ends of your paper together with tape or glue.

Step 3-

Add the handle using tape or glue.

+WINDSOCK+

+SUPPLIES+

-ribbon or wool

-paper with designs to colour

-scissors

-tape or glue

+INSTRUCTIONS+

Step 1-

Colour the colouring sheet.

Step 2-

Attach the shorter ends of the paper together to make a cylinder.

Step 3-

Tie the ribbon into the holes in the bottom to flow in the wind.

Step 4-

Tie a ribbon in the holes at the top so you can hang your wind sock and let it blow in the wind.

-wooden popsicle stick

-felt pens or crayons

+INSTRUCTIONS+

Step 1-

Use glue to attach the ears and nose to the paper plate.

Step 2-

Cut the eyes out of the paper plate.

Step 3-

Cut the shape of the mane out of the construction paper and space a circle in the middle to leave a space for the eyes. Attach the mane using tape to the back of the plate.

Step 4-

Attach the popsicle stick to the bottom of the plate.

-foam flowers

-cardstock strip

-scissors

-tape or glue

+INSTRUCTIONS+

Step 1-

Measure the cardstock band around your head and attach the ends together using tape or staples so it fits.

Step 2-

This is the fun part. Take the foam flowers and glue them to your headband for a fun and colourful design.

+BEAVER PUPPET+

+SUPPLIES+

-googly eyes

-paper cut-outs of teeth, tail, nose and paws

-coloured pencils, felts or crayons

-scissors

tape or glue.

+INSTRUCTIONS+

Step 1-

Colour the paws, tail and nose. Beaver paws, tails and noses are brown but feel free to get creative and colour them however you would like.

Step 2-

Cut the teeth and glue the teeth under the paper bag flap. The eyes are glued above the flap of the paper bag.

Step 3-

The tail and paws should be stuck on the back but sticking out to the side so you can see them from the front.

Step 4-

Put your hand in the paper bag so you can move the mouth.

To create this craft, you will need your craft kit supplied by the Downtown Surrey BIA. If you did not pick up a craft kit, this craft might not be relevant.

-craft kit containing all of the dragon cut outs

-glue dots or glue

+INSTRUCTIONS+

This craft requires detailed instructions that can be found in your DSBIA craft kit. Please note that this craft is a little more difficult and better suited for a child over the age of 7.
