About

Join us for a captivating Flamenco dance performance by Lili Flamenco accompanied by a live Flamenco guitarist (@josue_tacoronte) singer ( @patKeith3 ) and percussionist ( Tracy Samoil).

Flamenco, an art form originating in Andalusia, Spain, is deeply rooted in cultural diversity and resilience. It's a vibrant fusion of cultural influences which are evident in its music, dance, and song, making it a powerful expression of human emotions, experiences, and cultural exchanges.

This one hour Flamenco presentation will start with a short talk on the history of Flamenco followed by soulful Flamenco performance to live musicians and finally a short energetic introduction to Flamenco Dance workshop.

Organizer

Lili Flamenco

Lili Flamenco/Liat Harlev is a Flamenco dancer, performer, choreographer, and teacher.

She has been trained in Vancouver and Spain to further her Flamenco studies.

Lili has been actively performing and teaching Flamenco for the community, cultural and Flamenco festivals, as well as private events and small theatre venues across the lower mainland. The expressive and rhythmical nature of Flamenco inspires her to research, create, perform, and teach it. She takes pride in collaborating  with local and international dance artists and musicians and strives to continuously create new works. She is an expressive dancer, a storyteller and believes that dance is an embodied language that exists to communicate and inspire.
