About

Put on your art (walking) shoes and join the Alberta Craft Council on a tour of art, craft, wellbeing and sustainability!

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Culture Days, we've put together a unique tour that highlights and celebrates the unique connection between art, health, and sustainability.

We'll meet at the Alberta Craft Gallery and take the LRT to start off with a tour of the Friends of University Hospitals Art Collection and learn about how the collection, displayed in the University of Alberta Hospital, enriches the healthcare environment and enhances the healing experience for all. We’ll tour the hospital’s McMullen Gallery, the 200-piece collection and learn about the one-of-a-kind “Artists on the Wards” program before heading back to the Alberta Craft Gallery, where Jenna Stanton, Executive Director, will tour us through the current feature exhibition "Re:consider"—a curated group exhibition that contemplates ways we can craft a sustainable future. *please note this is a standing/walking tour (wear comfy shoes)

Tour duration: 12:00 - 3:00pm (scroll down for detailed schedule)

LRT transportation and refreshments will be provided to tour participants.

Sign up today - spots to the "Arts in Healthcare" Tour are limited to 20 people!

Registration closes on Wednesday, September 25 at 11pm.
