Exhibitions Run: September 24 - November 12, 2022
Main Gallery: Elian Mikkola "Carcass - The Poshistoric Queer"
Set in the year 3000, an industrious and resilient queer variant has learned to survive the harsh conditions of a broken earth. An exhibition of moving images and objects, on display as artifacts documenting a futuristic, queer-dystopia.
ELIAN MIKKOLA is a Finnish Moving Image Artist (of Karelian descent), and a white settler currently based between Treaty 4, Regina, and Montréal (Tiohtià:ke), Canada. Mikkola completed their MFA in Media Production in 2019 at the University of Regina. They work closely with both analog and digital images, movement and themes such as memory, spatial dependences and queer environmentalism.
Window Gallery: Negar Tajgardan
Exploring displacement, memory and belonging, the artist creates miniature replicas of objects that she and others in her community have formed memories around.
NEGAR TAJGARDAN is a visual artist with a special interest in sculpture, installation and photography. Tajgardan's works are based on her memories of coming to Canada from Iran and broader concepts of immigration and displacement. Based in Saskatoon, she completed her MFA at the University of Saskatchewan.

Neutral Ground Artist-Run Centre
Located on Treaty 4 Territory, Neutral Ground is an artist-run-centre that presents contemporary visual and media art. We connect audiences to the work of emerging and mid-career artists primarily from Saskatchewan and Canada.
Launched in 1982, Neutral Ground was created by a group of artists and educators from diverse artistic disciplines. They held the shared goals of developing awareness and opportunities for both artists and the general public to engage in emerging, innovative, experimental and hybrid (visual) art practices. For the past forty years, Neutral Ground’s programming has presented a wide range of artists and media. This programming has included experimental two-dimensional and installation-based works, works in electronic arts, video, performance, sound art, and new music.
