About
The annual Arthur Show features what our members consider to be their very best works. This juried show, of 35 original works (of over 200 submissions), includes the paintings selected by juror, Maurice Snelgrove, to receive the following awards: The Arthur Award, the Joy MacFadyen Free Spirit Award and three Honourable Mentions. The Arthur Award, designed by the Art Guild’s first president, is awarded to the member of the overall best work in the show. The Joy MacFadyen Free Spirit Award recognizes the creativity of a member whose work is a unique example of that artist’s creative spirit. We will be remembering Joy MacFadyen’s spirit and contributions to The Art Guild and to the wider creative community.
Covid-19 policies as per current City of Toronto Public Health Department guidelines.

Organizer
The Art Guild of Scarborough
The Art Guild of Scarborough is a non-profit membership organization, which was formed in 1962 in order to bring together people with a mutual interest in the fine arts. The annual Arthur Show features what our members consider to be their very best works. Our local artists support one another’s efforts and progress, and foster an appreciation of creativity in the wider community. You will enjoy viewing works in a variety of media: oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, ink, and mixed media and sculpture.
