About
Discover the GTA's hidden gem, a historic knitting mill turned arts centre, celebrating it's 10th year as a cultural beacon in the picturesque Headwaters Region. Meet visual artists in their working studios and take-in special Culture Days programming including live performances by local dance troupes "Equilibrium" (1:00pm), "Swing and Sass" (1:30pm), or go on a guided mindfulness hike past outdoor sculptural installation and changing fall colours with the Mill's Yoga instructor Alex Leikermoser (3pm). Admission to the arts centre is free.
As a special Culture Days event, the Mill's studio artist Michele Johnston will also host a special drum workshop at 11am, "Fun With Drums." Explore, experiment, and make some beats using a variety of percussion instruments. No experience required. Expressive Arts Facilitator Michele Johnston will coordinate some fun activities for this 45 min. workshop. Outside in the Forest Grove (sun) or in the Pond Gallery (rain).
