About

This installation will involve 7 life-sized human tape sculptures that are posed in different stages of grief. These sculptures will be illuminated and will have cracks of gold throughout them. During the 6-hour viewing period of this installation, art viewers can interact with individual sculptures as well as view the grouping as a whole. The artist will be walking around using gold body paint to paint cracks onto willing participants to help bridge the gap between viewing the art and becoming the art. This installation hopes to shine a light on the fact that we are all broken and that is how the light gets in.

Nuit Blanche Winnipeg

Born and raised in Northern ON, I developed a love for art as far back as I can remember. I attended the University of Guelph and earned a bachelor's degree in Fine Art, while soon after receiving a degree in Education. I now live and work as an art teacher and visual artist in Neepawa, MB. Inspired by light, surprising colour combinations, and deep meaning, my goal is to infuse these elements and form works that speak to the light in us all.
