About

Super Fun Weekends for Adults - Living Pictures Moving Library

An Alberta Culture Days Event

Saturday, September 28

11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Meet at the Downtown Branch

Join our properly suited up Book Bike and beloved British literary characters for a Tweed Ride, a fancy group bicycle ride where cyclists dress in traditional British cycling attire, particularly tweed plus four suits.

Any bicycle is acceptable on the Tweed Run, but classic vintage bicycles are encouraged.

Now look here, proper attire is expected. The term "overdressed" does not exist in our vocabulary. Tweed suits, plus fours, bowties, and jaunty flat caps are all encouraged. The prizes for the Best Dressed Male and Best Dressed Females will be decided by all ride participants.

We will wheel through downtown Red Deer, posing for pictures with the Red Deer ghosts and ending the ride with a lunch picnic and art activities at Bower Ponds. Event is weather permitting.
