About

This project invites writers, artmakers and musicians to the Original Humboldt site to draw inspiration from the physical experience of being on the land and learning the stories of the land. Your challenge would be to create a piece of work using that inspiration to explore the relation to reconciliation in your life and community.

We will meet as a group on the Original Humboldt site on October 10th. The idea is to spend time exploring, reading, chatting with fellow participants and sowing the seeds of your creative project.

During the day, we will have the opportunity to learn from First Nations Elder Gilbert Kewistep, a professor in the Saskatchewan Indigenous Social Work program at the First Nations University.

The Original Humboldt Committee continues in their efforts to bring the stories of the land to you. Your support of the public programs, replanting of prairie grasses, walking trail developments and research through archaeology will ensure the accessibility and sustainability of this project.
