The first, “Exquisite Corpse,” was a surrealist art game invented in Paris in 1925, in which a collection of images were collaboratively created. Each artist adds to a composition in sequence, only seeing a portion of the previous artist’s composition. The results are unique and full of visual surprises. The name Exquisite Corpse came from a version in which each contributor added a word without knowing the ones that came before, resulting in the bizarre phrase, “The exquisite corpse will drink the new wine.” All paintings will be exhibited at the unveiling event and offered in a Silent Auction. Contributing Artists and the Public will see the works for the very first time together at the unveiling event. All contributing Artists will find out who their collaborative team members were at the unveiling event. Guest judges will select the winning collaborative team. Expect Visual SURPRISES! The Silent Auction will continue online from October 2nd thru October 5th.
