About

Follow Linda as she works on a her next encaustic masterpiece. She will demonstrate her process by working with her blowtorch to build up layers and working textures on a painting she will create in front of you. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask her questions during the demonstration.

About The Art Form: Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to a surface.

About The Artist: Linda is a visual artist, inspired by gardens, forests, fields and farms. She works primarily with wax to create encaustic and watercolour batik paintings, playing with vibrant colour and contrasting textures. Linda works out of her home studio near Bowmanville, Ontario. She also teaches workshops and shows her work locally.
