Catchbasin Art Project Unveil Event
Date and time
Directions: Look for the Stormwater Program Tent near the splashpad.
Offered in English.
"From Streets to Streams" - Catchbasin Art Project seeks to raise awareness of the underground stormwater system by drawing attention to its starting point – catchbasins. The City worked with three local artists to paint one-of-a-kind murals at six of the City’s catchbasins in parks and residential neighbourhoods. Each of the murals highlights the drainage connection from our streets to the environment and inspire pollution prevention to protect local waterways.
The Catchbasin Art Project unveil event will occur on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, from 8am to 1pm during the Farmer’s Market at Gage Park to mark the end of Pollution Prevention Week. The artists will be showcasing their work and a number of resources, kid-friendly activities and prizes on pollution prevention will be available.
