About

Lekwungen Traditional dancers, a dance group from the Songhees Nation, share a performance of traditional songs and dances, and invite you to participate in a friendship song. Started over 40 years ago, the group has been going strong for several years and performs at schools, festivals, parades, private events and all levels of government including the last two Royal Tours.

Working in partnership with the community, Saanich Parks and Recreation creates opportunities for enrichment that support health and well-being through arts and culture and other activities. In Saanich, Community Services and The Arts Centre at Cedar Hill have teamed up to help support Culture Days. The Island Illustrators Society has collaborated this year to host an exhibition and community art project at the Arts Centre. Island Illustrators fosters interest in the art of illustration.
