Join the Raiden Taiko Drummers and learn about the art of Japanese drumming. This workshop aims to introduce the fundamental of taiko drumming techniques and rhythms, while also exploring the cultural and community significance of taiko within the Japanese Canadian community. No previous experience is necessary.

Raiden Taiko Drummers
Raiden Taiko Drummers are members with the Kamloops Japanese Canadian Association (KJCA). The group formed in 2004 and their name represents a mythological God of Thunder and Lightning (Raiden) and big drum (Taiko) capture the essence of this group.
Now in their 21st year, there are three original members, are now in a transition period of teaching the history of taiko, drills, and songs to all genders and ages.
Raiden Taiko continues to grow and develop under the principles of Raiden Taiko.
