Explore the Town of York on foot with our Museum Coordinator! Imagine a Toronto where the tallest building is only three stories high, where Lake Ontario reaches Front Street, where the wagon wheels grind through the muddy roads, the air smells of smoke and animal, and the surrounding lands is farms, fields, and forests.
In this walking tour, explore the surviving built environment of the original 10 blocks of Toronto and learn about what life was like for its early residents in celebration of Ontario Culture Days! This tour will run rain or shine.

Toronto's First Post Office | Town of York Historical Society
Toronto's First Post Office was originally constructed in 1833 and now operates in Old Town Toronto as a museum that tells the stories of the early Town of York and Toronto, a National Historical Site, a stationery gift shop that features local and Canadian artists, a community hub, and a fully functional post office, Canada's oldest in operation. It is operated and governed by an independent non-profit charity organization, the Town of York Historical Society.
