About
In this artist talk Devine will discuss her recent exhibition Land in War currently at the Tom Thomson Gallery in Owen Sound.
The main intent of the exhibition is to center the land as a site and object of conflict and colonial desire and especially to convey the harm the land has suffered and the resilience and beauty it epitomizes.

Lakehead University, Visual Arts Lecture Series objective is to host an illustrated presentation by a Canadian artist who has achieved significant success in both academic and artistic career. Our goal is to maintain a strong relationship between the local artists, art organizations and the Lakehead University community with our associates in Southern Ontario. This presentation is also designed to benefit the members of public toward a better understanding and appreciation for the ideologies and methodologies of contemporary Indigenous Canadian Visual Arts.
