About

“Keep the Dishes” is a celebration for all ages, genders, families, and ethnicities. “Keep the Dishes” emphasizes the importance of eating together as a family and the benefits of preparing meals at home. This event features self-guided mini-exhibits that explores Canada’s cultural diversity shared through the use, history, types, and patterns of dishes found on our dinner tables. Also on display is a dinner set donated to the Strathcona County Museum & Archives used by one of Sherwood Park’s first settlers. There will be many interactive and self-guided activities for children and families, as well as a draw for a one year family membership to Gallery @ 501 or a handmade dish. We hope you join us for these festivities and feel inspired to bring back the family dinner.
