Truth and Reconciliation
Join us for a Day of recognizing truth and healing. Creating a strong path forward uniting students, community, Indigenous organisations and community leaders to support the growth of Anishinaabe cultural education. Experience: Guest Speakers, Panels, Water Ceremony, Blanket Exercise, Workshops, Guided Tours of SKG building and architecture, National Chiefs Library, Medicine Garden. ITO is honoured to present the Weekend for Truth and Reconciliation in Sault Ste. Marie on September 30 & October 1, 2022. The two-day event offers a free, family-oriented showcase of Indigenous arts, culture, and heritage as well as key educational opportunities surrounding Indigenous history and ongoing reconciliation efforts.
