About
Lakshmi Venkataraman will perform a South Indian classical dance in the style of Bharata Nayam - a combination of intricate footwork and facial expressions that tell various stories based on the Hindu Mythology.
Lakshmi started her training in Bharata Natyam at the age of 6. The years of training culminated in her solo recital in 1998, under the guidance of her guru, Ms Lata Pada of the Sampradaya Dance Academy. Lakshmi was part of the Dance company from 1997 till 2001 which performed nine cities across Canada.
