About

We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Mission Community Archives with a special open house featuring interactive information stations about the services and treasures housed in the archives, a series of poster exhibits on Mission’s storied past, the launch of new services, games testing your knowledge of community heritage, and much more!

Organizer

Mission Community Archives

Open year round, the Mission Community Archives acquires, preserves and makes accessible all community records that document the social, economic, and political development of the District of Mission and the Fraser Valley Regional District Electoral Areas I, J, K and L. The holdings include the records of individuals and families, arts and community organizations, clubs and local businesses and some local government.

Staff provide reference services to the general public and offer outreach programs to stimulate increased public awareness of the value of the archives and its resources. This includes: exhibits to stimulate knowledge and appreciation for the community’s heritage; guided tours of the archives and information seminars on heritage preservation and information booths at local events about the Archives.
