About
Hatch: Art from the Nest is a public showcase of art made by participants in The Art Nest Open Studio and Outreach Programming.
The Art Nest is free open art studio with a mandate to promote the mental health benefits of creating art in community. In the studio; everyone is welcomed as an artist and invited to use the abundant materials available to create whatever they want! Participants have the opportunity to get to know members of their community through the sharing of ideas, inspiration and skills.
Over 200 members of our community participate in this program and you will be inspired by the wide variety of art and media presented.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions only 10 members of the public will be allowed to view the show at one time. Hand Sanitizer will be available and viewers will be asked to maintain safe physical distance while in the venue. The use of masks is encouraged as well. If the maximum number of viewers is reached incoming viewers will be asked to wait outside at safe physical distances. No touching of any artwork is permitted.

The Art Nest
The Art Nest is free open art studio and member of the Art Hives Network (arthives.org.) with a mandate to promote the mental health benefits of creating art in community. In the studio; everyone is welcomed as an artist and invited to use the abundant materials available to create whatever they want! Participants have the opportunity to get to know members of their community through the sharing of ideas, inspiration and skills. Prgrams such as Art Cafe for Seniors and Friends, Teen Art and Activism, and Open Studio aim to support all members of our community in getting creative!
Covid-19 forced us to close our doors in March, but we were able to use our grant funding to start The Art Nest Outreach so that members of our community could continue creating together...apart! Art Project Kits were distributed weekly throughout the summer and participants were invited to hare their creativity online and with friends and family in their bubble.
